"Do You Want to Know The Food's That Actually Cause Man Boobs So You Can Be Sure To Avoid Them?"

Chicken and hormones

Back in the 1950's farmers decieded they wanted bigger, meatier and faster growing chickens. The scientists had the solution of treating the chickens with very large amounts of female hormones (oestrogen) and there were examples of men and young children having breast development.

However in most places there is no a ban on the use of oestrogen and hormones to increase the size of chickens since the 60's however the average size of a chicken in the supermarket has continued to increase.

Why?

The answer is in the selective breeding, choosing only the biggest and best chooks to breed the next generation of chickens.

Chickens are however given antibiotics to prevent them getting any diseases that could stunt thier growth and this is a concern for many people however as yet there seem to be no real evidence of negative effects. If however you are worried stick to organic chickens  as they are not fed any antibiotics.

or...

Try lamb as it is hormone free :)

Pork and hormones

Pork is the most widely consumed meat on the planet howver are any chemivals or hormones used in th eproduction of pork?

One example is calles PST (porcine somatatropin), a copy of a natural hormone produced in the pig. It is a protein-based hormone, not estrogen based that has been tested at great length and there have been no negative effects on humans found...

This is however the view of industry representatives view point where as organic farmers still reccomend thier produce if you wish to avoid any chemical contamination in your pork produce.

Beef and hormones

There are hormones used in beef cattle production in Australlia and these are oestrogen hormones however the use of this type of hormone has been banned in European cattle production since 1989!

Doctor Bob Hunter of the CSIRO belmont research station in Queensland Australia says they're harmless to our health. "The overwhelming evidence of every investigation has concluded that it's quite safe to eat the meat of the animals that have been treated with a growth hormone."

To be sure though ask your butcher and if in doubt go organic,

Beaware that red meat is high in saturated fats, this is often the real culprit for most cases of 'man boobs' as it leads to the accumulation of body fat.
